Now available as of 5/22/08:  RxPertise™ Version 7.5, Service Pack 1, available via Digital Download (Full installation)

As part of the 2007 Maintenance Plan, MHA is pleased to offer v7.5 as a digital download.  This will be a far more convenient and reliable method of receiving our latest version, and is strongly recommended as the method for acquiring v7.5. This file will contain the entire installation CD contents, including an installation guide, 4 hours of video tutorials and related training tools.  Additionally, our Service Pack 1 update is included in this install image.

Please note:  This is the full installation of our latest version of RxPertise, and is provided for new and evaluation clients.  If you already have v7.5 installed on your system, and wish the Service Pack 1 update, please scroll down to find the SP1 Update download link, which is far smaller in size.

If you are unable to download this file, you may alternatively click here to send an email to the RxPertise team requesting an installation packet with CD be sent to you.  Software packets will be mailed once weekly, and at one installation packet to a customer.  Please be sure to include in your email your name, your company name, RxPertise Product ID(s), mailing address and phone number.

New Enhancements 
By far, the main feature enhancement of 7.5 is compatibility with Microsoft Vista.  Below is a complete list of new enhancements and improvements will help existing RxPertise users know what features have been added to RxPertise 7.5.

- Compatibility with Microsoft Vista Home, Vista Home Basic, Vista Business, Vista Enterprise, and Vista Ultimate (Continuing compatibility with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Windows 2000 Service Pack 4)
- Universal Pharmacy Interface: Allows v7.5 to accept information from any other commercial/proprietary pharmacy system.  Contact the RxPertise team for more details.
- New pharmacy data dispensing option.  7.5 allows you to import only psychoactive medications from pharmacy data.
- Side-by-side functionality with v7.0.  Allows you to upgrade to v7.5 at your own pace. 
- New startup window. 7.5 provides an enhanced startup window, allowing you to restore a backup file to a new/existing database, create a new database with the option to populate medications from our Medication Updater at the same time, and an option to create a new database with/without the standard RxPertise Autotext.  RxPertise Help may also be accessed via this startup window.
- Saving report and graph settings.  7.5 now allows you to save selected reports/graphs at the care center level, so that they are automatically checked when you access Report Options the following session.  Report/graph selections are now saved at the care center level, while report/graph settings are saved globally (for all care centers and all databases).  A new option allows you to have these changes automatically made for you, without any prompts.
- New for Service Pack 1!  An enhanced interface with Rescot pharmacy dispensing systems is now available.  Improved handling of physician population, station/room/bed designations, and handing of refilled medication orders is provided.  This requires a new, made-for-RxPertise interface template from Rescot, which is now available from them via their version 7.0.1, which is currently available.

Improvements

- V7.5 provides default folder locations more accessible than before, and these default locations will be populated in the New Database, Upgrade Database and Restore Database windows.  C:\RxPertiseDatabases\DATA and C:\RxPertiseDatabases\BACKUP are provided during the installation process. 
- Prior to any pharmacy data dispensing import, any duplicate physicians that are identified will be removed.
- The RNA data import process has been improved.  Previously, 7.0 users may not have received all of the resident information based upon certain ways in which the data was being maintained in the pharmacy system by the pharmacy.
- Care centers that have no station designations are now being properly handled when statistics are being generated.
- A new hotkey assignment has been provided in the Labs form.
- Certain computer configurations caused an inability to logon into RxPertise when the security option was chosen.  This has been resolved in 7.5.
- Import/Export of Autotext has been improved for seamless transfer, whether the data is being imported or exported.
- Opening a database that's been populated with the Medication Updater now takes significantly less time than with 7.0.

Who needs this update?  All users of RxPertise 7.5 should download and install this update. 

Available for our clients currently using v7.5, Service Pack 1 provides an enhanced Rescot interface as well as correction of some minor issues in v7.5 that have been noted since release.  This is the update, not the full version.  It is intended for those already using v7.5 and wanting the latest update.  For the full installation of v7.5 Service Pack 1, please scroll up the page to the proper download link.

Who needs this update?  All RxPertise users should get this update.

We have updated our RxPertise™ web site with the latest OSCAR psychoactive statistics, which were calculated as of 1/7/08 and may be referenced either through CMS or the ASCP web site.  This file may be accessed from within RxPertise by accessing the following screen under Tools > Options:

As described in RxPertise™ Help, connect your computer to the internet, choose your state, then click on the highlighted command button to automatically update your state and national statistics.  This process only takes a few seconds.

Certain network configurations may prohibit the user from remotely connecting to our web site.  Should that occur, please click here to request the necessary file to be emailed to you from RxPertise Technical Support.  The file will be returned to you via your email address.

Now available as of 6/17/08:  6/08 Medication Updater (version 7.5 only)

Who needs this update?  Those users of RxPertise 7.5 wishing to either import pharmacy dispensing data or have an extensive list of medications from which to choose when manually tracking medication orders should download and install this update.  It provides the latest listing of medications.  Those users who choose not to interface with pharmacy dispensing systems need not download/install this update.

Our latest Medication Updater will provide you with our most recent listing of NDC level medications.  Note that this updater is not meant for v7.0.  Scroll down to find the v7.0 Medication Updater.
